We tested the Chevy Volt which was just released in the US. The first 40 to 80km use a lithium-ion battery, then a 4-cylinder gas motor kicks in for a range of up to 610km. Pricing of around US$40k, but Federal and State incentives can reduce this to around US$30k. The ride is amazing… very well designed plug-in hybrid!
