Lotus Unveiled A New Economical Urban Car

At the Paris Motor Show, Lotus’ new offering features a range-extended electric engine. Dubbed City Car, this low-emission vehicle has an all-electric range of about 60km, with extended boost to an additional 440km.

The vehicle has a total weight of less than 1400kg and generates 240Nm of torque, and a hit speed of 50kph in only 4.5 seconds. The top speed of the Lotus City Car concept is 170kph, with a charge sustaining top speed of 120kph. All this performance is achieved by a drivetrain that returns CO2 emissions of 60g/km.
